- Royce Adams is a professor emeritus of English from Santa Barbara City College in California. He earned his Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a Masters degree in English from California State University in Long Beach. When he retired from his teaching career, he began writing middle-grade and juvenile novels for young readers who find reading difficult.
